A similar service called BitPesa was also launched in Nairobi-kenya last year.
Bitstakes, experts say is the Nigerian version of Bitcoin. Bitcoin is an innovative kind of money, that is used across payment networks. It has been taunted to be the new money.
David Ajayi, the Co-founder Bitstake said in a statement about its launch, “For so long, Nigerians and Africans in general have been cut off from the advanced financial technology. With Bitcoin, we have a chance to connect with a global network of decentralized payment system with instant deposit to anyone across the world.”
BitStake’s services include bitcoin exchange for Naira denominations. They receive one percent remittance fee for transfers, etc.
A similar service called BitPesa was also launched in Nairobi-kenya last year. It looks like Bitcoin is gaining ground across the globe.
