The crisis rocking the the ousted ruling Peoples Democratic Party took fresh dimension as unconfirmed report suggests that some top leaders of the party have resolved to replace the embattled national chairman of the party, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, the former Bauch State governor.
According to source, the PDP leaders may have concluded plan to replace Mu’azu with the outgoing governor of Cross River State, Liyel Imoke.
The report stated that the choice of Imoke was concluded on Monday my the party leaders considering his experince as the eldest governor in the south-south region which the party wish it produced the next PDP Chairman.
It was further gathered that the PDP is not willing to sack the embattled chairman but will do everything possible to ensure Mu’azu resigns his position.
