An Abuja Upper Area Court sitting in Gwagwa Thursday demanded the China Civil Engineering Construction Company to produce the death certificate of one of its Chinese employee whom the Court claims was dead.
In his ruling, Honourable Mohammed Suleman Ola asked the defending counsel and the surety to the Chinese, Luo Henggin who is an Electrical Engineer with the Company to file a motion before the court, so as to strike out the first information report on the ground that the accused person was dead.
A Nigerian employee of the company, Agu Harrison had reported that the Chinese pushed him out of the two storey buildings thereby causing him grievous bodily harm.
The prosecuting Counsel, Mr. Maxwell Opara told the Court that information available to him indicated that the Chinese was not dead but hastily transferred out of the country to frustrate his prosecution.
The case has been adjourned till the 28th of the next month.
