The ballot box was snatched at Ward 7 Unit 7 in Bugama.It was forcefully taken away by unidentified persons.
Rivers State had been identified by many civil society organisations as a flashpoint for violence.
The pre-election period was embroiled in pockets of violence culminating in an allegation by the State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, that he was shot at.
4:21pm Voting has just been concluded in Ofu-Ai Unazi polling unit of Apa ward, Ado LGA, Benue state. In all 50 persons only turned out 4 accreditation cum voting. Comr Daniel Onjeh of the APC (Benue South Senatorial seat) defeated the sitting senate president, David Mark by 27 to 21 as 2 votes were invalidated. 03:18PM INEC Suspends Election In Delta Community Over Insecurity
The Independent National Electoral Commission has suspended election in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State after the police said they could not guarantee security in the area.The Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr. Anidi Ikowak, said in Agbor that some stakeholders in the area did not allow electoral officers to move voting materials to polling units.He said the initial complaint was that they wanted to see the constituency collation form.He said, “But even when the form was brought, they did not still want the materials moved.“So the police had to advise that for security reasons, the election should be suspended.”

3 pm on the 27/3/2015 :President Goodluck Jonathan arrived Otuoke, his hometown
There was tight security in Otuoke, Ogbia Local Government Area in Bayelsa State on Friday as President Goodluck Jonathan arrived his hometown.
The president will cast his vote at a polling unit near his country home.
Prior to his arrival, two Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs) were seen on the Otuoke Road, one in front of the president’s house.
The other was parked in front of Magels Resort, a hotel close to UBA, the only bank in Otuoke.
Earlier, a helicopter was seen hovering around the town, apparently on security surveillance.
Soldiers and policemen were also seen on the main road, as well as plain-clothes officers who guarded the president’s house.
There were sign posts directing motorists to “keep moving,” while police officers shouted at drivers of vehicles which stopped within the vicinity of the president’s home to leave.
The president arrived by 3pm in company of Governor Seriake Dickson and other aides.

Fourteen candidates are contesting the election but only Mr Jonathan and Gen Buhari have a realistic chance of winning.
President Jonathan is seeking a second four-year term. His People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has dominated Nigerian politics since civilian rule was restored in 1999 but now faces its toughest election challenge, from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
